Posted In: Coloring & Painting by carbonfreehomes

Manufactured homes also need a certain amount of maintenance and care regardless of the fact that they are made from the best possible construction materials. The siding requires regular paint jobs to keep the house from looking old and weathered.

To paint the exterior of your manufactured home you will require to first clean the house exterior thoroughly. Wash with soap and water using a heavy duty mop or scrubber pads. Sand uneven surfaces to get a smooth siding surface to paint on. Sanding also gets rid of chipped paint and other marks from the siding.

Let the house dry and cure for a sufficient amount of time before proceeding with the paint job. Paint a layer of the recommended primer on desired surfaces including the aluminum siding. Let the primer dry for the mentioned time. Paint with a color of your choice allowing significant drying time between each coat.
