In that case you can have a white center table which accentuates the brightness of your room as well.

A wooden white coffee table can also turn eyeballs and give a pleasing effect to your room. Other white furniture you can incorporate into your room is bookshelves or an end table.

Incorporate a white bed into your bedroom and complement it with a white colored sheet or a sheet which has touches of white. In fact the white bed also acts as a contrast to a room which has a dark color scheme.

    Tips for Cedar Wood Drying

    Posted In: Furniture by carbonfreehomes

The two most common ways of preparing green lumber for use in building are air drying and kiln drying. Some tips on basic air drying of cedar wood are given below.

    Protection from the Elements

Drying cedar wood by an air drying method can take many months. The wood should be sheltered from the elements by using a lean-to or an open-air roofed structure.

    Allow Circulation

For drying cedar wood ample air circulation is required and air is allowed to pass through and under the boards. To accomplish this bricks or wooden posts are placed under the wood to allow air flow under the wood. The increased air flow helps the drying process and will make sure that drying is completed evenly.

    Support

Supports should be added to prevent the wood from sagging while stacking the cedar wood. Support can be given by keeping additional bricks or wooden posts on the bottom of the wood stack and also between each green board every 6 inches apart.

    A guide to Sofa beds

    Posted In: Furniture by carbonfreehomes

    Mechanism

Sofa beds are divided in two main categories. The traditional ones need to remove the cushions and a full bed folds out from underneath. The more modern ones can be flattened from an upright sofa into a bed as a combined unit.

    Comfort

The sofa bed must be comfortable to use both as a sofa and as a bed. The traditional models contain a spring-form mattress, which gives more support than foam. A slatted bed base gives extra comfort to guests sleeping over.

    Practicality and Fit

Sofa beds are manufactured in a variety of shapes and sizes. The sectional sofas include a sofa bed portion provided with additional storage. They can be armless and can have high and low backs.

    Care and Maintenance

Sofa beds can be damaged due to a high degree of wear and tear, as the sofa is a favorite place for sitting in the living room. A removable slipcover should be used as you can wash it.
